This project focuses on the design of a residence on Mount Chortiatis, at an altitude of 900 meters.

The main goal of the design is the harmonious coexistence of the residence with the surrounding landscape and the smooth integration of the building into the steep slope of the site with as little interventions as possible in the natural environment.

The residence is placed in the part of the site with the least dense vegetation and which offers an unobstructed view of the Thermaikos Gulf. Access to the residence is provided through soil paths within the site, and via a hard – surfaced path for vehicle access to the parking space and the main entrance of the residence.

The residence extends along the side with the view and adapts to the slope of the site, with the eastern side of the building being mostly underground while the western façade faces the view.

The residence consists of two main rectangular volumes covered by a single planted roof that creates the sense of continuity with the landscape. The volume on the south side of the house has double height and accommodates the living areas. The building volume on the north side is set lower and is formed in two levels.  The sleeping areas located on the ground floor and on the first floor there is a guest room with access to the roof of the ground floor. The two main volumes are unified by a long axis with circulation and secondary uses. A dominant feature of the residence is the atrium that is in contact with the living areas. The main façade of the building features a large terrace with a swimming pool, in connection to the living areas inside. At the southern end of the residence there is a greenhouse with access to the basement of the residence, which accommodates storage and utility spaces.
